Freshman Accelerated Fresh Start Policy Acknowledgement Form

As a first-time, full-time freshmen and due to my cumulative grade point average (GPA) falling below a 1.0 during my first semester at CSU-Pueblo (University Policy requires a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA to be in Good Academic Standing), I understand am currently placed on Freshman Probation, and unable to register for classes.

I am acknowledging the Freshman Accelerated Fresh Start Policy which dictates that students whose cumulative GPA drops below a 1.0 their first semester, must choose one of the following enrollment options, which will have an impact on my future academic career at CSU-Pueblo:

Option 1: Enroll in CSU-Pueblo Academy (Eligible for Freshman Accelerated Fresh Start)

Option 2: Take 1-3 semesters away from the University to hold employment or demonstrate responsibility. If away for more than two semesters (excluding summer) then complete Returning Student application and provide supplemental documentation. (Eligible for Freshman Accelerated Fresh Start)

Option 3: Continue to attend CS- Pueblo. (IMPORTANT: students must earn a TERM GPA of 2.0 or higher in subsequent semester or they will be Academically Dismissed from the University. Students also risks Suspension of Financial Aid.) (NOT Eligible for Freshman Accelerated Fresh Start**)

** By choosing option 3, I acknowledge I am declining the Freshman Accelerated Fresh Start policy and I am eligible to register for Spring 2023 CSU-Pueblo courses. By choosing to decline, I acknowledge that I am no longer eligible for the Freshman Accelerated Fresh Start Policy opportunity during any future semesters at CSU-Pueblo. I also understand that I may be at risk of not meeting financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress(SAP) standards, which could lead to ineligibility of federal financial aid.
